Cherry Cake 🍒

Here's a delicious recipe for a classic cherry cake:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups pitted cherries, fresh or frozen (if using frozen, thaw and drain excess liquid)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Guidelines:

  1. Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). For easier removal, line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper or grease and flour it.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized bowl. Put aside.
  3. Using a hand or stand mixer, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing basin until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. One egg at a time, beat in until thoroughly combined. Stir in the vanilla essence after that.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients gradually, starting and finishing with the dry ingredients and alternating with the milk. Take care not to overmix; only mix until barely mixed.
  6. Using a spatula, gently mix the pitted cherries into the batter until they are uniformly distributed.
  7. Transfer the mixture into the ready-made cake pan and distribute it uniformly.
  8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, in a preheated oven.
  9. After letting the cake set in the pan for ten or so minutes, turn it out onto a wire rack to finish cooling.
  10. If desired, dust the cake's top with powdered sugar after it has cooled.

Enjoy the cherry cake after slicing and serving it!

Whether it is a major celebration or a laid-back family get-together, this cherry cake is ideal for every event. The explosion of luscious cherries gives this cake a delicious flavor that is simply enticing.
